{ April in Review- Part 1 }

First I should start with the end of March...well the last day of March.  I had my first overnight stay WITHOUT Alyssa.  Yup, the girl was 18 months old before I left her for a whole night.  It was GREAT. I went to the Quad Cities to have a little slumber party with my two best girls, Kristen and Kiley.  It was wonderful to catch up and laugh and just have a great time.  Something we should do more often.  Did I miss Alyssa...you want the truth...I did not.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that girl like crazy, but I am NEVER away from her...like EVER, except for the rare weekend grocery store trip or when I took that sewing class, but otherwise the two of us are like two peas in a pod.  For 18 months I have never missed her because we are never apart.  So this night away was nice; she was safe and sound with daddy and I was off being myself for one night.  Ahhhh.

The next night my mom came up to visit and Jake and I went to a Chi Blackhawks game.  I know, TWO nights in a row without the peanut!  Nice date night and we came home to Alyssa in bed and my mom talking on the phone to one of her sisters...I hope she wasn't on the phone ALL NIGHT!

My mom brought some bubbles for Alyssa to play with outside and she loved them.  All in all, April started off on a good note.  More to follow...as it as been a long time since I posted.
