{ Happy Birthday, Alyssa }

Wow, we are parents of a one year old.  Where did the year go?  It is crazy to think of where we were last year at this time, sitting in the hospital waiting for the action to begin, about to become parents.  And here we are now with a one year old who is getting close to walking, about to start drinking real milk, taking regular naps and about to conquer the world :-)

We had a great day for her party.  The weather was nice so we were able to be outside.  All her cousins had fun...maybe with a slight exception for Matt who told me 'he thought everyone loved Alyssa more than him'.  It is rough attending someone else's party!  She didn't dig right into her cupcake but rather sat there wondering what to do.  She eventually ate quite a bit of it and although enjoyed it at the time I think was a bit much and she got sick that night.  Poor birthday girl.
