I got to Target shortly after they opened; took what seemed like hours going down the aisles, okay, maybe only a bit over an hour. I eye the checkout ladies and strategically go to one that looks nice...I empty about 1/3 of the cart putting my price match items in the front. As the woman in front of me finishes and the NICE checkout lady greets me with a hello I tell her that I have a few items that I am price matching...and here it comes..."YOU HAVE TO DO THAT AT GUEST SERVICES :-)" AAHHHHH. Seriously. Are you kidding me? So I load up my price match items in a different cart...check out...check out again, blah, hate going to the grocery store. Do you think they are trying to discourage it?
Ready for my savings...Price matched items totaling about $35 out of pocket- saved $16. And my total savings $55...not bad, still managed to spend $250 for my family of three, one of which doesn't count in grocery shopping. I figured not bad for my first serious couponing. Jake likes this. Since Alyssa was born he has gone grocery shopping a number of times; he would take what coupons I had, but now he figures there is a method to MY madness and I should probably do it, convenient!
So there you have it, $55, not bad.
Love your discription of your shopping experience. I am impressed with your savings
