{ Road Trip }

Alyssa survived her first LONG road trip to Oklahoma. I was quite nervous about the drive and after driving just two hours with lots of tears at Thanksgiving I didn't think this one was in the cards for us. BUT We thought it was important to give it our best shot and had hoped that with the extra month to GROW out of fussiness it was manageable and WE DID IT.

We left mid-morning on Tuesday and had to stop every two hours for feedings and diaper changes. She fussed a bit when she was tired, but fell asleep and in typical Lyssa fashion slept only in half and hour spurts. We made it to the hotel at about 5:30, just in time for her bath, feeding and off to sleep. The drive the next day was only a few hours and we were there in no time.

I think she did quite well on the trip, she tends to get a bit over stimulated and fussy at times normally, but while visiting the Grobe's she was on her best behavior. Her cousins loved playing with her and we had lots of help from them changing diapers and holding her bottle. Here are a few pics of our travels.

  1. She is so adorable and look at those pudgy cheekers. I just want to smother her with kisses.
