As we have conquered the repairs in our basement we have also known that we needed to get new windows. Jake decided yesterday that this was the weekend...Heat Index over 100, of course this is the weekend. So today he has started ripping out the old windows and putting in the new.
On the downside the new windows let in less light because of the large frame, but the old ones didn't do much for insulation and now we can get some air flow down there. IT is a great thing...oh, except for the fact that while Jake was ripping out the old frames he managed to bust a chunk of concrete from the foundation which means a slight repair..no project is ever easy.
